What Are Sport’s Injuries?

Sports injuries are frequently the result of high-velocity movements, sudden directional changes, and the repetitive mechanical stress unique in each competitive sport. In a sports-heavy community like Carmel, athletes across all levels often experience trauma or overuse issues that sideline them from the game. Whether it is a rotator cuff tear from a baseball pitch, meniscus or ACL damage on the soccer field, or medial epicondylitis (Golfer's Elbow), these injuries indicate that the body's soft tissues or joints have been pushed beyond their functional capacity. From AC joint sprains and "stingers" in football and hockey to lateral ankle sprains and patellar tendonitis in basketball, these conditions require a diagnostic approach that looks at the athlete's entire kinetic chain.

How Can We Help?

At Indy Spine and Rehab, we bridge the gap between the training room and the clinic by looking at the sport-specific biomechanics, such as a golf swing or pitching motion that leads to injury. Our Carmel team utilizes Active Release Techniques (ART) and Manual Therapy to resolve restrictive scar tissue and adhesions, combined with Targeted Joint Adjustments to restore proper alignment and motion. To complete the recovery process, we implement Functional Rehabilitation programs designed to rebuild explosive power, stability, and sport-specific resilience. Our goal is to ensure you don’t just return to the field or court, but that you return as a more efficient and durable athlete.
